RAW Awards in San Francisco

These pictures are from the RAW Awards we catered at 111 Minna street art gallery. The art was absolutely amazing and jam packed with seriously fabulous fashionistas , alluring belly dancers to giant copper horses. I had a blast, it's always fun to bring some Oakland cupcake love to the city.

Oakland Indie Awards

This past Friday was spent at the 5th annual Oakland Indie Awards. It was so much fun and wonderful to be surrounded by so many other awesome Oakland businesses. There were hundreds of folks, delicious food....... my goodness, vegan tamales, pupusas, Ethiopian food, many talented artists ( I wish I could list them all but they were brilliant!) and my new favorite coffee company, Bicycle Coffee, which I have been dreaming about ever since. The event ended with the famous DJ Platurn spinning Oakland's best hits, MC Hammer included of course! Definitely my kind of event ~

American Cupcakes!

This past weekend Yelp hosted 'All American' event at the Missouri Lounge and we provided the sweets. It was a blast! The people were great ( flannel shirts & trucker hats galore!) awesome drinks, delicious tacos, Guinness & Bailey's and our white Russian 'The Dude' cupcakes ( to be added to the menu soon ;) Can't wait for the next event!~

SF Cupcake Challenge

Here are some pictures from the San Francisco cupcake challenge. The challenge was to bake 1,000 mini cupcakes! I decided on some of my personal favorites, Sea Salt Caramel and Peanut Butter & Jelly. With that being said, our crew had a little too much fun choosing a theme to go with our flavors. As you can see below we went with a circus- barn animal- dinosaur and overall fun disco party theme. The event was a blast ( a cupcake lovers fantasy) and it was great meeting all of the great cupcakeries in the Bay Area. Although we did not come in 1st place this year, we did gain some great fans and I can't wait until next year!

Oakland Sailboat House

Last week we catered a birthday party at the Lake Merritt Sail Boat House.

It's so awesome to deliver our cupcakes to locations that have always struck my curiosity.
I only remember seeing the outside of this building while in route to rent a paddle boat. The view from the inside was amazing and perfect for celebrating big birthday's, this one being a special 70th birthday bash~

Cupcakes at the Duinsmur

We catered an event at the Dunsmuir Estate over Labor day weekend. This place is truly a hidden jewel, definitely not your average mansion. Of course I could not really capture how lush and gorgeous it was as I was working. As I was setting up I realized this was my last strawberry cupcake order of the year- but no tears, I know those berries were the perfect touch. But the season is changing. That means pumpkins will soon be entering my kitchen again, yummy. Stay tuned for our fall seasonal specials and enjoy these last beautiful sunny days of summer~
